<image:caption>Jedburgh Castle Jail - Scottish Boarders SOLD OUT Ghost Hunt Saturday 18th April, 2026 9.20pm - 1.30am Tickets £45pp (20pp deposit with remaining balances due 4 weeks prior) History: Site of 12th-century castle was one of the strongholds handed over to the English after the Treaty of Falaise to release William the Lyon from captivity, but it was recovered by the Scots. Malcolm the Maiden died here in 1165. Alexander III was married at the castle in 1285, but a ghostly apparition warned of his impending death – which came true when Alexander fell, with his horse, from a cliff at Kinghorn. The castle was occupied by the English after the Battle of Neville’s Cross in 1346 until 1409, when it was retaken by the Scots and demolished, the work paid for by the Crown. A jail was erected on the site of the old castle in 1823, a Howard reform prison, and the only type of its kind now remaining in Scotland. The prison closed in 1880. Jedburgh Castle Jail is now a museum, with a fascinating display of exhibits relating to 19th-century prison life. Ghosts: One of the ghost of Jedburgh Jail is Edwin McArthur, a prisoner who was executed here in 1855 who wonders the corridor of the derelict men’s wing intimidating people. Children’s voices have been heard on equipment asking for help and a heavy cell door slamming shut in front of our guests by unseen hands. <image:caption>The Little theatre - gateshead Available Ghost Hunt Saturday 16th May 2026 8:50pm - 1am Tickets £28pp History: The theatre has its roots in the Progressive Players, an amateur drama group formed in 1920 that performed at various local halls throughout the 1920s and 30s. After they were given notice to leave their previous venue in 1939, three sisters — Hope, Ruth and Sylvia Dodds — generously funded the purchase of a derelict site on Saltwell View and the construction of a permanent theatre for the group. Construction was interrupted by the outbreak of World War II — at one point the site was requisitioned as a barrage balloon station, and nearby bomb damage affected parts of the building. Despite these challenges, the theatre was completed in 1943. It’s believed to be the only theatre in Britain built during the war. The inaugural performance on 13 October 1943 was A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The Little Theatre became the home of the Progressive Players, who steadily expanded their season and productions. By the 1960s and 70s the theatre survived threats of compulsory purchase for road building, and later expanded its facilities by acquiring adjacent properties to create rehearsal and costume spaces. The Little Theatre remains Gateshead’s only purpose-built theatre and continues to be run by volunteers through the Progressive Players, who typically stage around ten productions a year and support wider community use of the venue. Ghosts: Reports of ghosts and paranormal activity associated with the Little Theatre in Gateshead. People have claimed that after the theatre is closed for the night, voices and footsteps can be heard inside the building when no one else is present. One popular reportings of the theatre is that it’s haunted by the spirit of an actor who supposedly died on stage. This figure is said to linger, perhaps tied to the place through their love of performance. Would you #daretojoinus? <image:caption>Broomley Grange - Northumberland SOLD OUT - Private booking only Saturday 30th May, 2026 Ghost Hunt & Sleepover- 9pm - 9am Tickets £60pp (£30pp deposit with remaining balance due 8 weeks before the event.) History: Broomley Grange is a Victorian manor house located near Stocksfield in the Tyne Valley, Northumberland. It was built in 1897 (some sources note architectural work around 1899) for a local Newcastle family (the Swan family) as a rural country house. The building showcases traditional stone construction with ornamental features typical of late-19th-century country estates. Throughout the early 20th century Broomley Grange remained a private residence. In 1976, the estate was acquired by The Boys’ Brigade, a well-known youth organisation in the UK, to establish an activity and training centre for young people and adults. Since then it has served as a base for outdoor education, team building, camping, conferences and residential stays. Ghosts: Two sisters once lived in the house and that a feud between them ended tragically — with one sister (Adelaide) allegedly pushing the other (Nelly) from a tower, where she fell onto railings and died. According to these stories, the spirits of both sisters now wander parts of the manor. Staff and visitors have reported loud unexplained footsteps in corridors that seem to come from nobody present. Visitors and investigators often talk about dark shadow figures, mysterious voices or screams, and instances where furniture seems to move without obvious cause. We personally have heard voices and running in corridors. Along with a radio being switched on by itself on two occasions. One of which was playing 1920’s - 1930’s war time music. A loud hiss came out of nowhere and a kitchen door locking the team in. <image:caption>The Bunker - Edinburgh SOLD OUT Ghost Hunt Saturday 6th June, 2026 9pm - 2am Tickets £49pp - Deposit option of £24pp available with remaining balance due 4 weeks prior to the event. The site at Barnton Quarry, on Corstorphine Hill in Edinburgh, was originally a stone quarry until around 1914. During World War II, the Royal Air Force established a Fighter Command operations room there to help with air defence, particularly linked with protecting nearby Edinburgh and the Turnhouse airfield (later Edinburgh Airport). In the early 1950s, against the backdrop of growing tension with the Soviet Union, the facility was expanded into a purpose-built underground bunker as part of the UK’s ROTOR air defence network. It became the Sector Operations Centre for Scotland, coordinating radar stations and directing defensive responses to potential air attacks. Hidden roughly 100 ft (30 m) below ground behind reinforced concrete and steel doors, the bunker was designed to withstand nuclear blast effects and continued to be a top-secret installation, with its existence only becoming more widely known in the 1960s after leaks about government continuity plans. During the Cold War, the function of the bunker shifted beyond radar control: it was designated a Regional Seat of Government (RSG) for Scotland. In the event of nuclear war, it was intended to house up to around 400 politicians, civil servants, military, emergency services and BBC staff for several weeks to coordinate governance and recovery. As the Cold War eased in the 1980s, the bunker ceased operations (around 1982–83) and was transferred to local authorities before being sold to private owners. The bunker has since been given Category-A listed status in recognition of its historical significance and is now part of community heritage projects, including site tours, community gardens, and potential visitor attractions. Ghosts: Footsteps and voices: Volunteers and visitors have reported hearing footsteps, muffled voices, or doors echoing in empty corridors, especially in quieter sections of the bunker. Shadow figures: Some people claim to see shadowy shapes at the end of long corridors or near old operations rooms, which disappear when approached. Cold spots and unease: Certain rooms—often linked to command areas or dormitories—are said to feel suddenly colder or give people a strong sense of being watched. The spirits are usually said to be RAF personnel, civil servants, or military staff who worked long shifts there during WWII or the Cold War. A few stories suggest stress, secrecy, and the fear of nuclear war left a strong emotional “imprint” on the place.
